Mother's Day 2013

This was my 5th Mother's Day and it just gets better and better!  We started the celebrations early at school where I was invited to a Mother's Day Tea for Mack's class.  It was so special and I will cherish that time forever.
Mack's sweet survey about me and her hand made picture frame.

The children served us!  It was such a treat!

Nashville 2013-1/2 Marathon

Mommy had it in her head that she was going to run a 1/2 marathon and Nashville was the place to do it!  I didn't train like I had wanted to and the weather was less than desirable for running, but we did it and we finished...barely!  Ha!

We drove up late Thursday night after soccer practice and we hit downtown Nashville early Friday morning.
Sadly, George Jones passed away while we were there and on every corner, people were remembering him.  Sidenote, I grew up listening to George with my PopPop.
Downtown Nashville
Bar hopping with Uncle Mike, Aunt Kari, Heidi, and Brian...fun times!
My mom's maiden name!
Race day!  This was at 5 a.m. and it was raining...and 47 degrees!
We waited for Uncle Mike at the starting line...in the rain...pouring rain.  I was mentally beginning to shut down and was so nervous about the run and being too cold.  Luckily, our music worked and almost 3 hours later, I finished!!
We were so cold after the race, that we went back to our hotel, took the hottest shower and bath we could and napped.  After we woke up, we hit some more honky tonks...

Easter Party at School 2013

Mackenzie, you had an Easter party in your class and I was able to sneak up there to spend some time with you.
Loving the decorated cupcake, just not enough to eat it!

You were SO proud of your bag that you made.
Your bunny had vampire teeth.  Doing "hip and lip" here.

Every child brought in eggs that had a name on them.  You had to find the eggs that had your name written on them.  Girl, you were on a mission!
So proud that you found an egg!

Your class, that I just love!
Nolan, you had a small Easter Egg hunt in your classroom and racked up some candy as well.

Easter Weekend at Grandma and PawPa's

We LOVE when Jordan is in town!  He came down for a few weeks in April and we got to spend some much needed cousin time with him.

Despite the distance-you two love each other!

Nolan, you knew exactly what to do with those eggs.

It's hard waiting for those eggs to turn just the right color.

 Sweet.boy!
 Just the perfect color!

Uncle Matt and his famous chili dip.
 Fun, fun, fun deviled eggs.
And when the weather is junky and we can't hunt eggs, we take crazy pictures.

Attempt 1 at an Easter 2013 picture...

"The Bunny Cake"  Grandma has had this bunny cake pan for well over 30 years and the bunny graces us each Easter.
