Visiting "Maginia"-Day 2

There's nothing like waking up, opening the door and seeing this...cows in the front yard!  Yup, somehow the cows found an opening in the now-not-live fence, and made a dash for it.  Have you ever seen a cow run?  It's pretty funny, and even funnier when a certain 3 and 1 year old are giggling with you.  In total, about 7 cows got out and spent the morning munching on Joyce's plants.  Since the cows don't belong to R and J, the farmer had to come and herd them back into the-live wire fence.

 You two started getting a wee bit restless so we took on a walk.  Walking sticks became a necessity.  

 This open field goes on forever!  Well, not really only about 1 mile or so back, but it's so quiet out there.

 The best thing about being outside all day, is it wears you two out!  You guys had no problems taking naps.  I thought it was adorable when I went to check on you guys, that you fell asleep "reading".

 Daddy brought his gun, "Bullet" with him and I finally got to learn how to use it.

Visiting "Maginia"-Day 1

The first weekend of December, we were invited to Ronnie and Joyce's home in Virginia for a belated Thanksgiving with Rick, Trish, Kent, and Stacie.  We left from Gramma's house at 2 a.m. and arrived to "Gathering Oaks", Maginia a little after 9 a.m.  Like I've said before, you two are amazing travelers and do best on overnight road trips.  You guys woke up just in time for breakfast at "The Barrel" and then we were on our way, again.  Mackenzie, you were so cute, because you were so excited, but you had no idea why.  You kept talking about "Maginia" and Ronnie and Joyce.  The coolest thing about visiting them, is their farm.  They live in an 1850's home surrounded by nothing.  We had so much fun!

 Fun-ny story...for some reason, Rick touched the top wire, only to discover it was live!  We heard the "pop" and he went a' screaming.
