Down on the Farm

There's a really neat little corn maize, petting zoo, tractor riding, pony walking place right up the street from Granma and PawPa's house.  It's the perfect size to let you two run wild, blow some steam off and get in touch with nature.  It was a chilly Sunday afternoon, but we made the best of it.  We played for a long time in a huge box filled with billions of tiny pieces of corn, and have you ever noticed that uncooked corn looks exactly like candy corn?  There are 3 distinct colored layers just like the candy.

After we played in the corn long enough for some very rough teenagers who had no business in the box got a little out of hand, we decided to tackle the corn maize!  Mack, your favorite part was telling everyone which way to go, and punching little holes in your card at every destination.  Nolan, you were just happy to run your little heart out.

After we made our way through the maize, we went on a tractor ride around the property.  The driver attempted to make us laugh by telling us "corny" jokes.  HA!

It's nearly impossible to get a decent picture these days.

This one just melts my heart.  Mack, you were so excited to show Uncle Matt the American Flag that was attached to the back of the tractor.  You two had a long discussion about that flag.
To finish out our trip, we visited with some farm animals.  The goats so were stinkin' cute, and the cow just made you crack up, Nolan.  Mack, you had absolutely zero interest in cow.

Despite what it looks like, Nolan, you were laughing hysterically.

This is your very first pony rides!  You guys were loving it!

Fall Suppers

Since having your swing set, we've spent a lot of time outside enjoying the weather.  In the evenings, you two often eat supper out there.  Mommy and Daddy love it, because it's not nearly as messy as eating inside, and it makes you guys (who take forever to eat!) eat a bit faster, because you want to play.  Mack, you plate cracks me up.  Hot dog, black olives, and a banana.  Probably one of your most favorite dishes, with the exception of mac and cheese.

Our Superhero and Beauty Queen

There are many times a day/week that I will sneak up on you two only to find that you're playing so nicely together.  Mack, you rarely get upset at Nolan and Nolan you pretty much think Mack hung the moon.  You know that feeling you get when you have kids and you hear laughter and giggling and then silence?  Well, this particular day, that's what I heard only to find these two having a complete ball playing dress up.

I only hope, pray, and wish that you two will remain this close for many, many years to come.  You really are the best of friends.

YoMo

There is a new FANTASTIC frozen yogurt place that we just love.  Mommy and Daddy use code words for it. It's really called Yogli Mogli, but we refer to it as "YoMo".  Makes me laugh.  After a fun night at the fair, we took you two to get a special treat.  You two were out of control!  Nolan, you flirted with everyone woman/girl that walked by you and Mack you were in heaven over all of that ice cream.  Unfortunately, walking back to the car, Nolan, you tripped and fell right on your face.  It's not uncommon for you to fall, you're like your momma...NOT graceful!  You wound up busting your lip pretty good and scratched your nose up.

North GA State Fair

We attempted to take you guys a year ago to the fair, but it was so crowded that the Fire Marshall's closed it down.  Mack, you were just 2 years old and didn't really understand what the fuss was all about until we went this year.

We kicked off the night eating yummy carnival food!  That was way overpriced, but you have to get the full experience!
Trying sweet tea for the first time.
I think you liked it, buddy!
It was so much fun watching you run all around trying to decide on what ride you wanted to go on next.  We quickly learned that you're not afraid of heights, and the higher, faster, louder the ride the more fun you have.

This one is really hard to see, but in the middle of this picture, you can see a little orange blurb, that's you!  I was having cold sweats just watching you climb this thing, but you were so excited!
 Coming down the slide.

Nolan, you were a bit too short for almost all of the rides which made for a not so fun night for you.  You got pretty mad when Mack would go on a ride, and you couldn't go with her.  Maybe next year, baby.

The four of us did get to ride on the carousel together and we all laughed and enjoyed that.

On your very first roller coaster!  I have a feeling that you're going to be an adrenaline junky.

The last ride of the night, Mack you and Mommy rode down on the giant slide.  As we were walking to the top, I told you to look down and see just how high up we were.  You simply replied, "Mommy, I LOVE this!" You sat in my lap as we went down the slide and you just giggled your little heart out.
