Nolan-9 Months
Sweet boy, it seems like I do your "monthly" updates on a 2 month basis! The last monthly update was when you turned 7 months old and that seemed like last week. You're now 9 months old and quickly approaching your first birthday-quick hand me a tissue. You are quite mobile these days and you love to be around people. I think since you're moving around so much now, your weight has slowed down. I'm interested to see how tall you are, because every night before I put you to bed, we snuggle and I promise it feels like your legs are touching my knees. Your hair is so blonde and because of this, it appears that you don't have any eyebrows! Your eyes are still steal blue and I'm thinking that they will probably stay that way, especially if your hair stays light. You are down to about 3-4 8 oz.bottles a day. You have one right when you wake up which has been around 6:30 a.m. lately, however, after your bottle you go right back to sleep until 8:30/9 a.m. When you officially wake up for the day, you have a container of breakfast cereal and fruit. You go down for a nap around 10 a.m. and wake up around noon and you down another bottle. You're usually up playing and attempting to keep up with Mack until you finally crash again around 2 p.m. and you will sleep for almost 3 hours! When you wake up, you eat your vegetables mixed with cereal, a fruit container, and finish that off with an arrowroot cookie. We've been giving you a sippy cup with water in it and so far, you're enjoying feeling like a big boy. You have your last bottle at 7:00 p.m. and are in bed by 7:30 p.m. Most nights, it's hard to keep you awake until then. You've been wanting to go to bed at 6:30 p.m., but that makes for an early morning! You love all the vegetables that I've been making for you and you've enjoyed all fruits. We've introduced you to Puffs and the dried yogurt rounds and you love them!
You've finally realized that we have dogs. You romp all over Nick and pull on Stetson hair, and bless them, they are so patient with both you and Mackenzie. Now that you're crawling all over the place, your most favorite place in our home, is the back doors especially when the "gogs" are out there. As soon as we let them out, you make a beeline for the doors, prop yourself up on them, squish your face as hard as you can up again the glass and shout, "Gogs!" over and over and over again. If they get out of your line of sight, you will turn around a look at me and say, "gogs?" One night, Mackenzie was acting crazy when she heard Daddy pull up. The dogs started barking and she started howling. Full on head tilted up howling. You thought this was absolutely hysterical. As soon as Daddy walked through the door, you tilted your head back and howled at him! It's so funny to watch you do it now, because as soon as we do it, you start. You also love when we put our hands over your mouth to make Indian calls. You will make a noise as we pat your mouth and if we stop, you will draw your mouth to our hands and try to do it.
You can now go from crawling to sitting. This has been a fun accomplishment for you, because you can now chase Mackenzie into her room, and then sit up to play with her.
