Nolan, every morning you woke up saying, "Gee-Up, horsies!" over and over and over again. We could hear the horsies nay-ing and kicking their food buckets around and that would get you so excited. It didn't help that you would generally wake up about 6 a.m., but that's ok, because we were on CA time, and you and Mack both adjusted to the time change really well.
Notice we know have a cowboy hat to match the cowboy boots.
Most of the Madsen cousins, just missing Alexa and Abby.
Alexa and Mack eating a nutritious breakfast.
Aunt Missy and Uncle Joe's camper has a tv with a dvd player in it that became very handy at times.
Your daddy's cousins-Justin and Kristie and Aunt Kari. See, I told you it was cold in the mornings.
Getting ready for our hike to the waterfall.
Not only is there campsites at Rancho, there's also these neat wagons you can rent.
Daddy and Mack hiking to the falls.
1/2 way up the road, at the bottom right, you can see all the cars....that was at our campsite.
Nolan, you were lucky and rode in style.
So breathtakingly beautiful.
Happy to be able to walk around. The thing behind you is a in ground water tower. We actually walked up here the first morning we came in, but Mommy got scared because we were told to watch out for mountain lions.
The rest of the gang making their way up.
Uncle Joe and Nolan.
And Aunt Missy and Nolan.
The rushing falls. :)
We later learned that climbing up there wasn't a great idea. Not long after this, Uncle Joe made his way up pretty high and may or may not have caused a huge rock slide. All we heard was people yelling and then Uncle Mike grabbed Abby and they tumbled down as cousin Justin swung in Indiana Jones style (he plays Indiana Jones at Universal Studios, so he has some skill) and grabbed Jackson. It was pretty scary for a few minutes.
Always dancing and/or twirling these days.
Mission accomplished! Nolan, you were passed out!
After naps and recharging, we all headed down to the pool area. The water was pretty darn cold, and actually too cold to really enjoy it. Most of the family decided to play putt-putt instead and we took the little kids to the playground near by.
Nolan, I think you're trunks were a tad too big. :)
Einstein hair!
Mack the little monkey
Buzz and Woody stopped by for a brief appearance.
Uncle Joe teaching Mack how to swing a golf club.
Too funny!
Another beautiful shot of just how amazing it was there.
Most of the cousins in the tire swing!
Daddy's cousin Leah has a daughter. Below is Taelor and you, Nolan. Despite the look on your face, you really enjoyed having her around.
Once we all got back to the campsite, Uncle Ted did a little award ceremony for everyone. The kids got these neat ribbons.
RHR is Uncle Ted's horse show company.
Mack, you were showing Uncle Ted how you can write your name.
Supper time in the camper!
