We learned a few things as we traveled all the way across the country with 2 toddlers who have never flown on a plane before, ridden horses, and met family members. 1. If we ever fly with them again, we will lug their humongous car seats through security, the airport and on the plane. It was one of the best decisions we've made in a long time. 2. Children adapt to time zone changes way better and faster than their parents. 3. 8 days is a LONG time to be away from home with toddlers who are used to a routine and miss their toys. 4. Our time in CA was priceless and was a vacation we'll never forget.

Nolan, it broke my heart to take you back home after seeing how excited you got as you rode on all the horses. You are a natural born cowboy!
Daddy and Alexa.
On the flight home, Delta made a HUGE boo boo and tried to sell Daddy's ticket to someone else! We were sweating for a minute thinking he wasn't going to be on our flight home. No worries, his seat just got moved far away from us leaving this momma in a panic. Thank goodness we had a very understanding Dad in front of us that shared his son's toys with us.
Lastly, I forgot to add that we didn't get home in our own beds until after midnight. It was a long day of traveling, but you guys did outstanding. Not to mention, the next day, all of us slept until at least noon! I woke up in a panic and checked in on both of you. You both eventually woke up around 1 p.m.!
