On Monday morning, the 4 us along with the 4 Beckers decided to take a trip to the La Brea Tar Pits in Hollywood, CA. It was much more fun than it sounds and we had a fun time. Basically, there are active tar pits right in the middle of downtown Los Angles!
Holly-Wood!
Fun fact: before this trip, you guys have never been in a car, only SUV's and trucks.
Only cool dudes wear their glasses "uppingside" down.
So, these are actual bones/fossils that were discovered in the La Brea Tar Pits. You guys need to google the tar pits to read more about it.
Volunteers from all over, old and young dig through the dried up tar to uncover fossils.
Nolan, you're very small compared to this guy!
Mack, slowly but surely, you're growing.
In the middle of the museum, there's an outdoor section with tons and tons of live turtles!
That's not garbage, that's tar!!! And the elephant isn't real.
Bubbling tar pits.
Across from the tar pits is a new exhibit called "Levitated Mass". Again, you guys should google it.
You have one STRONG Daddy! :)
On the way back to Uncle Ted's we drove through Malibu and stopped at Duke's for lunch. The restaurant right on the ocean and was good!
Watching for dolphins.
Lemon head!
Cousins! Jackson will be 6 in Oct., Mack will be 4 in Sept., Nolan was 2 in June, and Alexa will be 2 in August. I love that you guys are all so close in age.
On Latigo Canyon Rd. It was so, so curvy and Daddy really had to focus on driving. See that little cove area? That's Paradise Cove. We tried to go there, but it was THIRTY dollars to park!
Back at Bowler Ranch, this was the first time you went fishin'.
Oh Nolan, you thought you needed to throw the whole pole into the water!
Mack, I love you so much!
Jack Jack and Uncle Scootie talking boy talk.
City boy turned Cowboy needed to rest...in the dirt.
Uncle Joe and Jackson caught a Bass..
